Click here for more information or to download this freeware: June 17 EmotiPadFor a couple of weeks, I have been the owner of an EmotiPad Plus, an emoticon "keeper" that you can drag and drop smilies, emoticons, and other types of photos in your forums or emails that you post online. I like the idea of separating and labeling emoticons in categories such as "Happy Birthday", "Christmas", "Weather", and more. :) You can also get FREE updates of EmotiPad Plus after you purchase it from SoulSoft. :) I love this program because it is easy to use, and you can collect as many smilies or emoticons you want, plus this is sold at a good price (not expensive). You can purchase it by credit card, money order, check, etc. One thing I need to tell you about after you download the program...During the time you are using the "trial" for about 14 days, you need to send in the payment right away (if you use money order or US check). After the "trial" is over, you will not get it up again if you don't send in your payment. Be sure to check the FAQs and information about each of the 3 neat programs from SoulSoft to see which is best for your needs in the main page, including the prices and how you are going to pay for it. Here's the main page: http://www.emotipad.com Here's where you can download EmotiPad Plus: http://www.emotipad.com/eppdownload.php Here's the forum of SoulSoft where the moderators can help you with any problems you have with your EmotiPad software -- you can even find cool new emoticons to add to your EmotiPad!: http://www.emotipad.com/phpBB2 Here's another way you can get help with your software - called "Help Desk": http://www.emotipad.com/cgi-bin/pd/pdesk.cgi Enjoy! :) Nancy

December 12 Webattack Freeware"Webattack Freeware" is one of the many freebies sites where you can get cool software for your computer. I have downloaded a couple of free software from this site myself, and they all are very good and useful programs. I recommend Webattack Freeware if you are looking for a free and useful program or two. Go check it out and enjoy! December 09 Internet BrowsersSince 1995, I have used Internet Explorer as my main browser, and I still use it. Circa 1998 for college courses, I used Netscape Communicator as my main browser (this came with my college CD for my email address in my institution's name)..I have used this for a while, then I went back to Internet Explorer. Now, since a couple of months ago, I have tried Mozilla FireFox, and I love it. I feel it is better than IE for several reasons. While there is a fact that IE is improving its browser by adding tab preferences, etc. to catch up with FireFox, I feel that FireFox is better than IE because: 1. Security (it blocks the ActiveX programs and lets you know, and if you do want it installed, you can press a button to install it -- IE doesn't let you know that ActiveX programs are installed and doesn't block them for you) 2. The downloader that FireFox has is faster (with IE, you have to add a freeware or a shareware downloader, i.e. LeechGet, which adds up memory for your computer, and it's a bit slower) 3. FireFox has excellent "extensions" for the browser and they all are free! So far, on mine, I have Googlebar for FireFox, tab preferences, thumbnails from each linked gallery, and more. With IE, you have limited free downloads on the Microsoft website. I still use IE for the "Windows Update" so I can keep my computer up to date. FireFox has an extension called "Windows Update" where I can click on this, and then IE browser comes up to show the "Windows Update" site, so I can install new programs and new security patches from Microsoft. Neat, huh? There are people out there who still rely on Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator, but for me, I think Mozilla FireFox browser is the winner because of these reasons. :-) Nancy |
