    The Andrews Sisters

"The Andrews Sisters" is a 1930s-early 1950s famous singing group of three sisters, Laverne, Maxine, and Patty.  They were called "America's Wartime Sweethearts".  Their music style was positive (have to be during WWII), fun, and in perfect harmony.  They sang with famous singers such as Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby, and Dan Dailey.

I love music that was done before I was even born, such as the 1950s and early 1960s classic rock music.  "The Andrews Sisters" is my favorite group in the 1940s because of their harmony, and from reading the lyrics to their songs, some of their songs are funny.

Here are a few of my favorites by the Andrews Sisters:

    • Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better
    • Pistol Packin Mama
    • Straighten Up and Fly Right
    • Shorten Bread
    • Ti-Pi-Tin
    • Hold Tight (Want some seafood Mama)
    • Be Mir Bist Due Sheon (Means You're Grand)
    • In the Mood
    • Rum and Coca Cola
    • Long Time No See

Here's a link that tells you more about The Andrews Sisters, some of their music records, who they sang with, etc.  Even though this group was famous years before my time, I am one of the few people my age who appreciates their music today.
